Our service should always be unto The Lord and not Man. While mankind is who we serve our command and enlistment to serve comes from God. The performance of those duties and rendering of that service must be carried out with compassion and love. It is far less challenging to serve when everything is right in our world. When times are more severe it takes a pushing and pressure from deep within that shows our true commitment to our King. We have this treasure in earthen vessels that no matter how severe the times we will show up to our post with determination and a resilience that only comes from Him. Simply said we serve in severe times because we are His servants.
